A
seminar on Vaccination Campaign was organized on 26th December, 2007 in Samaldas Arts
College by N.S.S. Unit. The seminar was inaugurated by the chief medical
officer Dr. Ankita. Dr. Ankita welcomed all the girls and told about the
government and WHO’s scheme of vaccination, especially on removing the
‘Polio’. He told the students about the
necessity of the vaccination and join and participate as volunteers and help
the team in backward area of city. He thanked the principal for the
co-operation by the N.S.S. Unit.
A.R. Rathod, knowledgeable and well-known
Doctor explained matter that our priority is up to 7 years. It is a vital
period. Even after the child, growth, Vaccination is necessary. He also
answered questions asked by students.
But I’ll explain you later on within first 15 days give a bady, B.C.G.,
Polio and hipetitice vaccines and after that up to second month DTP, first dose
of polio & Hipetitice second dose should be given

the special meeting was held for the N.S.S. Volunteers. A.R. Rathod informed
the students about the children. He stressed the matter that without
vaccination the child might become the victim of polio. He also informed the
skill of WHO for removing polio and gave slogan ‘Polio Nabud Abhiyan
2007-08. He told the girls to spread the message among the people. The
teams of girls were arranged for different areas. They were given First aid
box, vaccine bottles and all girls went in their area with team-leaders. About 100 N.S.S. girls took parts in it and
finished their work in a day.
A
special meeting was held at 5:30 Mr. Rathod and team thanked all the teams and
N.S.S. Visit College girls. All girls were given special mementoes. It was a
grand success.
