Subject: Report of opening a new factory at Bhavnagar.
Respected Sir,
By letter of our office no VSC/P01/146/05 dated March 24, 2008, I was given the charge to present a report regarding the subject about shown. I visited the place and found out the following detail.
Bhavnagar is an expanding town which has historical significance and presently commercially fast developing city. Population is nearly 10 lacks and boasts the residential university. It is also a fantastic example of all sorts of transportation. Through broad-gauge it has been directly linked with Ahmedabad & Mumbai. Through air it is also related to Surat, Rajkot & Mumbai. National highway 8-E joins Bhavnagar with Ahmedabad, Porbandar and Veraval.
I saw pots of land suitable for our purpose. One on Rajkot road, and the other on Talaja road, both are really best suited. Both measures around 4000 square meters. The special plots on Talaja road are the ideal one for our purpose. Moreover on Talaja highway another industrial area at Mamsa has been developed. Plots are easily available at competitive rates. The owner is prepared to sell it to our company. The normal price of land is Rs. 55 per square meter.

Raw materials: One advantage here is that the raw materials for our industry are cheaply available. Huge bargain and local purchase would hold use to cut down the cost of production.
Skilled workers: It is also a favourable thing to us that the skilled workers, the chemists, mechanical hands, electricians and office hands are easily available as the colleges; polytechnic institute will provide the required workers and technicians.
Electricity: is no problem except power cut regularly in a week. Power in this part is bit easy. It is the main centre of electric grid. The chief Engineer of GEB has promised us to lay a special power line for our factory proving free supply. But I would suggest to installation of a power negating set as the power staggering and shedding is a normal phase in Gujarat and we can not afford to close the factory.
Water: Normal rain and the Satruji Canal System, both together will provide sufficient water for our company. The subsoil water for our company. The subsoil water situation is also good. 15 to 20 metre deep bares give lot of water privately. I however approached the P.W.D. officials. They too promised to give a 250 mm. line costing RS. 2, 28, 000 will provide us with sufficient water.
Transport of this area is very systematic. The wide roads the railways, a daily air service to Bhavnagar, Bombay by different air line connect. This place with other cities of the country. There is a possibility of replacing the ferry service from Ghogha and Mahuva which will be a great blessing. There is transport like direct with Bombay pune etc.
Banks: Nearly different 25 banks including 18 nationalized banks are working in Bhavnagar. Bank managers of ‘Dena Bank’ and ‘Bank of India’ all have assured best cooperation and facility. ‘Bank of India’ has mobile facility, which would help to reach our site for routine payments.
Recommendations:-   I am very happy to recommend as suggested. It is my belief and opinion that commencement of our factory at Bhavnagar will be a major enterprise and highly rewarding. I’m thankful to all who have given me kind support. I’m also thankful to the company giving me a fine opportunity.
Thanking you.                                                   Truly yours       S.N. Hingu
